RV LIVING: THE GRAND CANYON (SOUTH RIM IN A DAY)

We spent this beautiful day at Grand Canyon National Park. We took the kids there on a homeschool field-trip. They LOVED it! It was was an amazing experience for the entire family. We are thankful for the National Park Service for keeping the south rim open during the early parts of 2021. We had no clue what 2021 Grand Canyon was going to have in store for us, but glad that atleast the South Rim of the Grand Canyon is OPEN during Covid. To our surprise, the bus service was up and running and this made it easy for us to park in the Grand Canyon south rim parking lot and not have to do much driving.

Homeschooling - As we learned about becoming a part of a network of growing fulltime families, we realized that we needed to come up with a homeschool curriculum that worked for our family. Living fulltime in an RV can be tough, but with proper planning, homeschooling is not all that bad. Our first year on the road was a homeschooling for beginners crash course. It is not always easy to go from parent to teacher, but over time, it does get easier. We truly enjoy being interactive with our children’s learning. Fulltime RV living has made it so that we are on the move regularly and able to take them to new places and help them learn. With just over a year on the road, we have taken the kids to multiple National Parks and atleast a half dozen National Monuments. Having a National Parks Pass has made these experiences a low cost solution for us to keep the kids entertained and educated. Explore your National Parks!

Welcome to the Road Ventures Youtube Channel! We are a full time RV living family traveling North America in our Grand Design RV Reflection 312 BHTS. A couple years ago, we had been sitting on our couch getting inspired by other channels like Keep Your Daydream, Getaway Couple, Changing Lanes and Finding Our Someday. We would tune in every week to see where everyone was in their travels and learn. We also found ourselves listing to podcast like Rootless Living during our commute to work as we we wanted to learn about what it is like to become fulltime RVers and digital nomads. We got so inspired that we took the plunge in January of 2020. Like many other fulltime families, we are documenting our journey as we explore different areas of the country and sharing the day to day life of being fulltime rvers. We hope to inspire others to Venture out of their comfort zones and get off the couch and explore.
