Ridgid Portable Modular Tool Box System

Hey guys here I am giving you a tour of the Ridgid Modular Toolbox system and in this video I want to demonstrate how much these boxes can hold and the interior layout of each box and what I personally put in each box. In this video I have 3 of the boxes that I clip together and quick note I usually use a bungee cord and attach my Ridgid Stereo to the very top of my setup. You can add more boxes if you like but with the 3 boxes I have together in this video it puts me right at the top of the telescoping handle, anymore boxes and your hand will get pinched. I have the RIDGID 22 in. Pro Gear Cart, Black Model# 222573 which is the main bottom box with the wheels and the telescoping handle that you can add the other boxes onto, it is the largest box in the Ridgid modular toolbox system. You can use each box by itself but if you want your Ridgid modular box setup to be able to roll around on wheels your going to need this box. Next in the middle I have the medium sized box the RIDGID 22 in. Pro Tool Box, Black Model# 222570, this is the second largest box in the system and has an open bottom with a tray on the top to hold tools. Finally on the top I have the RIDGID 22 in. Pro Organizer, Black Model# 222571, I would have to say this is probably my favorite box because of it's versatility, it comes with 6 removable containers with 3 on each side and they can be used for parts the lid in the box has indentations that match up with the containers to seal them up and keep parts from coming out of them when the lid is closed. If you don't want to use these containers they are removable, the center of the box is open and there are dividers separating the 3 containers on each side of the box and these dividers are also removable so if you wanted you could remove all the containers and the dividers and simply have a totally open area. Past that I will just let you see the video to see how they are placed in the box. Personally I like to get small parts bins, like the small $3-$6 Husky parts bins and I fill them up with things like I have assorted screws in one, electrical and misc in another and plumbing parts in a third and usually I will keep a multitude of these small parts bins loaded and in my cabinets in my garage ready to go and then when it comes time to load up my Ridgid boxes I will grab whatever small parts bins I need for the job I will be doing and throw them in my Ridgid boxes. I like the Pro organizer box for my small parts, pens and pencils, tape measures, stud finder, tape, razor knifes, gloves, screw bit cases, pliers, scrapers, flashlights and so on as you will see. In the middle box I tend to put things like larger pliers and wrenches, extension cords, clamps, hammers, pry bars, sometimes caulking and a caulk gun, perhaps my electric meter sometimes it goes in there sometimes it goes in the smaller pro organizer box, I usually put rags in this box and on the outside of my box I always have a bottle of degreaser, I usually pack my speed square in this box, I could go on but what I put in each box always varies depending on the job I'm packing up to do. The one constant is if I am packing a lot and taking all 3 boxes then the bottom box is where all of my power tools go. I will hold a very large amount of my power tools, in this video you can see I have packed a ton of my cordless 18 volt Ridgid power tools in the bottom box with how I had it setup this time it had 9 of my Ridgid 18 volt cordless power tools in it a charger and 7 batteries plus a multitude of blades and bits so you can see that the bottom box will hold a huge amount of things and between all 3 boxes the amount of tools you can fit in them is amazing, I like to be over prepared when I go to do a job and this setup of my 3 Ridgid modular boxes holds so much that I have never once gone to a job and not had enough tools to do the job at hand. Well I hope this video helped you get an idea of the huge amount of tools these boxes will hold. This system is the way to go in my book, I think it is better than the Dewalt tough box system which I think is much to expensive and Bosch click and go system which you can't even roll around. I like that unlike the Dewalt and Bosch boxes this has all metal latches and metal side bars to clip the boxes together. Also these boxes are made of a very tough resin which is not brittle at all like plastic is and these boxes are tough enough to stand and sit on, I do both all the time. As you can see in the video they also have a nice rubber seal around the lid to help keep out water and dust. And it's nice that this is a very affordable system as well. One last thing to point out is there is not always a need to take all the boxes you can take them apart and only take which boxes you need hence why it is a modular platform which is nice. I hope you enjoyed the video please give a thumbs up if you did and subscribe for more! As always thanks for watching!
