June 2024 Update to Australian Migration System

Here's an important update for international students and temporary visa holders in Australia. Starting July 1st, the government is introducing significant changes to address what they refer to as visa hopping' .

Firstly, if you hold a Visitor Visa, you will no longer be able to apply for Student Visas onshore.

Secondly, if you are on a Temporary Graduate Visa, you will also no longer be able to apply for Student Visas onshore.
These changes are part of a broader strategy to adjust the international student system.
