Ep152: Tulip Poplar - The workhorse tree on our homestead
One of my most favorite trees on the homestead is the tulip poplar tree (yellow poplar, tulipwood, etc). While this tree isn't as pretty as walnut or cherry and isn't as hard as oak or hickory and it doesn't even produce any nuts, it is still a very useful tree on our homestead. With all of our building projects, the Tulip Poplar will be one of the most widely used trees here.
In this video, we talk about how to identify the tree and some of the pros and cons of having it on the homestead.
