Rotterdam harbor: Launch and tugging a huge Drydock under the river Maas bridges in 1923 in color!

Highly interesting footage of the launch of a 8000 ton dry dock in the harbour of Rotterdam in 1923. Subsequently about a dozen steam tugs can be seen wrestling with this monster to try and drag it over the river Maas under a bridge.
Plenty of spectators are on the bridge to observe this immense struggle. At one point they get totally smoked-out by the steam and smoke from the tugs' funnels while they pass under the bridge. It is interesting to see how the funnels need to be collapsed in order for the tugs to pass under the bridge.
