When we started thinking about a trip to Spain, the major cities and popular regions just didn't feel like what we were looking for. Instead, we opted for Alicante, staying in a smaller town off the beaten path so we could explore the region's nature and historic towns like Altea. And yea, we did some touristy stuff too.
