Airbus Zero Emission Hydrogen Airplanes
Decarbonizing, methods of transportation and electricity production is by far one of the greatest challenges’ humanity will face for many years to come.
There are many technologies being explored but up to now, the most successful one to challenge oil has been batteries. Tesla being by far the most successful electric vehicle company to date.
September 2020, Airbus announced their intentions to move away from fossil fuels by 2035.
Their fuel technology of choice? Hydrogen, something quite unexpected for the aviation industry.
Hydrogen is a technology that has been on the horizon for decades. With recent technological breakthroughs, it might finally get the chance to prove itself as the best fuel for the future of mankind.
However, as of right now, a lot of questions remain unanswered and I can’t help but wonder. Is this move from Airbus crazy or genius?
