I wrote a song about how politics make me feel

Political Jargon (working title???)

I’m all for loving my enemy
But I do not have to defend their resistance
To showing basic human kindness
It’s hard to think
That a complete lack of accountability
Would result in maturity
It’s a modern tragedy
And I know there’s exceptions to almost everything
But when you act like people that don’t even know you
Matter more than I do in this conversation
It makes resolution seem real tough

But I cannot comprehend how propaganda
Could make you turn on your own family
It lives in me
I am so uncomfortable with how I let this
Reside in me and make me restless
It’s modernity’s deceit
To turn your loved ones into binary beings
That if you disagree on any single issue
Then they don’t care about you
Or anyone
These thoughts make resolution fiction
