Well, that’s it for the story of Diablo IV. I’m still scratching my head over the shift in tone at the ending. It’s like the game wants us to feel hopeful for the future and Neyrelle, but we all know the story of Diablo’s world always ends in bittersweet tragedy. Even in Diablo III, things backpedaled so hard after Diablo’s defeat that we end up with the hellish world in this game. So, what’s with Neyrelle’s cheery attitude and desire to not be followed? Remember the last time someone wandered off with a soulstone and a Prime Evil?
