Torture – the Audi Q7 in the INKA-Test

What would you do to a brand new car? Drive it through half a meter of water? Through mud? Over bumpy gravel roads? Bombard it with stones? Scratch it with a knife? Put it under extreme weather conditions? Probably not… But at Audi, that’s exactly what we have been doing to all new models for the last 40 years. They all have to endure the toughest test at Audi: the so called INKA-Test – short for „Ingolstadt Corrosion and Aging Test“. Here the car has to prove how well it stands up to real life situations. The test’s results are fed back to the engineers and mass production is improved, all to help the development of future models. Watch the engineers torturing the Audi Q7 and simulating twelve years of wear and tear on the car in only 19 weeks.
