Lionel 2025 (Post War) Steam Engine - Nix's Reviews Episode 4
Join me in the train room to talk about my classic Lionel 2025!
A classic toy train from the 1940's. The Lionel 2025 is a steam engine (O-27) modeled after the Baldwin, Pensy - PRR - K4 Pacifics of the early 20th century. This 2-6-2 configuration engine has 6 variations. Variants A - E were produced from 1947 - 1949. The 6th variation, variation F ,is considered a separate production run from 1952. The F variant were stripped of many cosmetic features due to the Korean War effort.
The original whistling tender, 2466WX (1948) was sold with this engine. The tender also includes the elctro-coupler feature. The whistle is a single tone air whistle.
The engine was purchased with its original boxes included!
