Bach: Ricercar à 3 (Musical Offering BWV 1079) - Iain Simcock

The 3-part Ricercar which opens Bach's Musical Offering, is almost certainly a reworking of the improvisation he performed at the request of King Frederick the Great of Prussia, on the King's own theme. He probably improvised on a fortepiano by Silbermann, which makes this the only Bach work with a direct link to the new instrument.
