You’re Dating Like a Teenager in a Grown Woman’s Body

Too many grown women are dating with the emotional lens of their younger selves. You may be 35, 45, 55 and wildly successful in every other area—but when it comes to love, you feel unsure, anxious, overlooked, or rejected.

What’s happening?

You’re not showing up as the grounded woman. You’re showing up as the girl who didn’t feel safe, or the teen who thought being pretty and clever would make it all work out.

The truth is: emotional regression in dating is real. And so is spiritual immaturity. Some people are playing chess while you’re still emotionally playing checkers. That’s why discernment and prayer must come first. You can’t build a relationship if you’re disconnected from who you are and Whose you are.

You are worthy. But you must also be wise. You must know yourself. And most importantly, you must walk with the Holy Spirit. Let God mature you before you enter another cycle of disappointment.

Let’s grow up emotionally, spiritually, and relationally.
