🎀🧸 Vintage Kitsch and Kawaii Collective Haul 🧸🎀

Depop has quickly become my go-to app for shopping secondhand - and no I’m not being paid to say that. All of these items were purchased from different sellers, each just trying to clean out their closet. With all the wardrobe planning I’ve been working on I‘ve been able to pinpoint some things I definitely don’t need to buy any more of - but I’ve also discovered a few holes in my collection here and there. BUT I’ve also noticed my impulse buys are WAY down - so that’s a plus. Here are some kawaii jfashion garments and some vintage pieces I’ve picked up to fill gaps in my basics table - as well as some “just for fun” items.

Hi! I'm The Stitchess! I'm an interdisciplinary artist and seamstress. I started sewing when I was 8 and loved it so much I made it the focus of my study in college. After a lifetime of battling severe mental health issues - I found healing in the radical softness and Japanese kawaii communities. As much as I love fashion and clothing, I also think it's important to consider how and where clothing is made. I went fast fashion free at the start of 2019 to voice my concerns over the rapid consumerism gripping the garment industry. By no means am I perfect, but I think it's important to show that change is a process. I believe it is always important to strive to be better, even if perfection is unattainable.
