Cold War Goes Hot- Red Storm Rising boardgame by TSR

In 1989 TSR brought out a sequel to their hit game "The Hunt for Red October" based on the book by Tom Clancy. This time they tackled a second book by him, Red Storm Rising (the only one of his books set outside the Ryanverse). Aimed at an audience wider than the traditional wargamers, namely those who were more casual gamers it was a well researched and written game that featured some very subtle mechanisms (such as a different turn sequence for the two sides that reflected their doctrine). Having recently managed to replace my long lost copy I wondered how well it had held up....
