Duke Jams with Dexter, Ben, and Byas! 1945
Two slightly edited jam sessions tracks from August 1945, catching Duke in an entirely spontaneous jam with a gaggle of great jammers, including legendary tenor men Ben Webster, Don Byas, and on the second tune, Dexter Gordon. Stuff Smith on violin and clarinetists Buster Bailey and Herbie Fields are also heard from, as are bassist Al Lucas (on and off with Duke around this time) and 52nd Street regular Eddie Nicholson.
