Andrea Leadsom: ‘We have left the EU, we must be able to do things our way’

Conservative MP Andrea Leadsom has said a Free Trade Agreement between the UK and the EU should be possible by the end of the year “with good will on all sides”.

Speaking with talkRADIO’s Julia Hartley-Brewer, the former Business Secretary said: “None of these things are very complicated, they are basic principles - we’ve left the EU, we must be able to do things our way.”

Boris Johnson has set a deadline of October 15 for a trade deal to be reached, saying the UK will walk away from negotiations if it does not happen.
