The Buick Park Avenue produced for the 1998 to 2005 model years came with an active air suspension in the rear of the vehicle. The factory system relies on a compressor, air shocks and a myriad of electronics to function. A loss of ride height in the rear of the vehicle is an obvious sign the system has failed.
