Friday night tropics update: Tropical Depression 19 heads to Gulf of Mexico & may become named storm

A close watch on the potential strengthening of Tropical Depression 19 currently moving toward S FL. Thunderstorm development has been fairly constant near a "center" just north of the large island. It's possible this could become a storm before moving over FL, but a higher likelihood once in the eastern Gulf. Models are not at this time very bullish for strengthening in the Gulf, however atmospheric conditions will be conducive for organization and potential strengthening.
