Lake El Salto - January 2019

We had a great trip with Pro Bass Adventures. The staff was fantastic and the food was awesome. Fishing was tough the first day and a half, but then it picked up from there on out. On the tough days we still caught fish of 5+ pounds, the numbers just weren't there.
Hot baits for us were Jerk Baits, Rat L Traps, swimbaits and Lizards. We had one morning that produced a ridiculous popper bite for the first hour. Biggest fish of the trip was 8.3 lbs caught on a swimbait and underspin by Old Man Magee.
Lake El Salto is a place every bass fisherman should experience, the fishing is awesome and the scenery is spectacular but beware, it's addicting...
