Wuhan People Cry For Help | NTDTV
The #coronavirus situation in Wuhan appears to be much worse than we have been led to believe.
NTD Television conducted an investigation and found that many Wuhan citizens have been seemingly left to die.
One citizen, Miss Sun, told NTD that her family of four lives in Wuhan. She said there are no beds left in the hospital and they will not accept any more cases.
She added that her 50-year-old mother was tested for the virus at the hospital but all the hospital beds were already full.
The hospitals are overcrowded and there are patients collapsing to the floor and dying. She said people have been smuggling themselves out of Wuhan to Hunan, a nearby province not yet under lockdown.
Disturbing video footage posted online seems to show people in Wuhan collapsing on the streets.
In other districts, people who returned from #Wuhan are sealed into their homes with wooden boards nailed to the doors, as people try and contain the virus.
In a social media post, Mr. Yu shared that his father waited at the hospital for treatment, and even three hours later he had not been taken care of.
In Hubei province, a single father was quarantined for the virus. According to social media posts, he has a 17-year-old son who has cerebral palsy and isn’t able to take care of himself. Because the father was quarantined, his son died of neglect, starvation, and cold.
Tibet now has its first confirmed case of the coronavirus, making all regions and provinces in China affected by the virus.
Australia has announced its plan to evacuate its citizens from Wuhan where they will be sent to Christmas Island and held for two weeks of quarantine observation.
Other countries are screening and evaluating citizens from Wuhan including Japan, Sri Lanka, South Korea, France, Algeria, Morocco, the EU, and the U.S. Other countries including India, Indonesia, the Phillippines, Germany, and Spain are expected to follow suit as we speak.
The coronavirus continues to spread overseas. Germany has just confirmed three more cases, including the first known case of person-to-person transmission outside of China.
Bavarian officials say a 33-year-old man contracted the virus on Jan 21, after coming in contact with a Chinese colleague.
And on Wednesday, the first confirmed case in the Middle East, and Finland.
South Korea has already declared the Wuhan coronavirus at the highest level of infectious disease, the same as SARS and Ebola.
