Story Studio with Roudabeh Riggs

Roudabeh Riggs, President, Woman Life Freedom in Iran Foundation, described her childhood under the misogynistic laws of the Islamic Republic of Iran and observing the ways her mother was stripped of power and autonomy just for being a woman. After a long struggle to leave Iran and forge a new life in New York City, the death of Mahsa Imani called Riggs to take action and raise awareness about the Iranian government’s unethical practices.

Storytelling has long been a staple in President Bill Clinton’s legacy of public service. And Monday night at Urban Zen at Stephen Weiss Studios, his storytelling legacy continued through the Clinton Global Initiative’s (CGI) Story Studio, an informal and relaxed space where trailblazers and innovators share stories from the frontlines of our biggest common challenges.
