Wayne Rogers talks about leaving MASH Part 2 of 5

Part two of my interview with Wayne Rogers, best known asTrapper John on the first three seasons of MASH.

Rogers passed away at the end of 2015, and I wanted to share this conversation as soon as possible, to remember one of my favorite character actors.

We’ll talk about what it was like working at fox studios during its temporary decline in the early 70’s. What it was like working with the great Mickey Rooney. Why Hollywood knows nothing. What attracted him to acting in the first place. Why he left MASH. And why he and Alan Alda would continue to rehearse a scene – even after it was shot and in the can!
