‘Mindboggling’: UTS ordered to scrap layoffs for workers’ mental health
Sky News host Freya Leach says the administrative side of Australian universities has seen “bureaucracy blowout like crazy”.
UTS has had five years of losses, and in an effort the keep the university open, they have a plan to lay off around 400 staff.
SafeWork NSW has told UTS it cannot give any more details about the plan because of psychosocial hazards.
Ms Leach said the whole situation is “mindboggling”.
