First look at Sony’s PS5

Tech Guide Editor Stephen Fenech has got his hands on Sony’s PS5 ahead of its sale on November 12 – showing off the features of the next-generation console.

Mr Fenech said the PS5 is larger than its predecessor, at 39 centimetres wide, and comes with a DualSense wireless controller.

“This has a lot of the familiar buttons you’d recognise of the PS4, but with the [PS]5 it’s taken it to the next level,” he said.

“There’s really subtle vibration controls, it gives you a lot more feedback from the game, so it just immerses you even further.

“There’s also a touchpad in here as well, the trackpad, it also has six-axis motion control, so you can actually move thing on the screen.

“It also has adaptive triggers which means that these can be controlled by the developer for their particular game, these can react in a different way depending on the type of game you’re playing.”
