What a Day! 8 Silvers and a Gold Too!

Hi Diggers,
Don and I met up in my favorite old town and we got some really good permissions. My favorite find of the day was an 1813 Company Store token that came all the way from Wales, UK. Apparently England had such a shortage of money during the Napoleonic Wars that some companies had to mint their own coinage just to pay wages. Even though the coins were only good at the company store, many found their way into general circulation. This is one such coin. Over 200 years old and how did it wind up in the front yard of a house built in 1880 in Illinois! That's what I love about this hobby of ours. The 1936 class ring is a real beauty and is the first class ring that I have found! Thanks for looking and HH to all, Dave.
