Layered Peppermint Bark 🍫 If you need a dessert and FAST, this is your new best friend. So easy to make and looks super impressive. A great last minute hostess gift or dessert for the Holiday table. Ingredients: 1 1/2 cups semi sweet chocolate chips* 1 1/2 cups white chocolate, chopped 1 tsp peppermint extract 3-4 candy canes, crushed Directions: Melt chocolate chips slowly in the microwave, 25 seconds at a time. Once melted, add peppermint extract, if using, and spread evenly on a parchment paper covered baking sheet. Set aside. In another bowl, melt white chocolate. Make sure one of the ingredients is cocoa butter-it melts much better than the “white crème” chips. Once melted, pour overtop of the chocolate and carefully spread to cover. Don’t worry if some of the chocolate shows through. You can even swirl it if it’s still melted. Crush the candy canes and sprinkle over top. Let set up completely at room temperature if you have time or blast in the fridge for 20 minutes. Break into pieces and you’re done! Enjoy all the compliments. Happy Holidays! *You can also use dark chocolate in place of chocolate chips OR bars of mint chocolate and omit the peppermint extract. Up to you! Please tag me if you make this!
