By R22 to LHR via H4, H3, H9

On the 30th July my good friend George Sealey called and said "I've got a surprise for you, I will pick you up in 30 mins" Having no idea what this was about I agreed.

Jumping in the R22 at Gransden lifting at approx 17:30 tracking south to the Ware valley then Olympic park to pick up the Heli lanes H4, H3 and H9 right over LHR at 800ft.

Whilst routing H3 we had an Apache Heli shadow us at about 500 meters behind, not sure why but still. This video is compressed to 10 mins but shows all the landmarks on route. #concord lovers will see G-BAOB.

Runway in use was 27R whilst 27L was having maintenance works carried out. The LHR overhead transit consisted of a hold between the two runways to allow a Virgin to land. After which crossing at the threshold and onwards to Northolt and out of the zone on tract to Luton overhead and home. 1.5 hrs round trip packed full of images. What an experience on a perfect blue day.

a very special flight, thank you George.
