2021 DCI Drum Battle Atlanta Drum Academy & Memphis Youth Arts Initiative (MYAI)

History was made this weekend with two youth HBCU/Show Style drumlines performing on the DCI (Drum Corp International) world stage in Indianapolis. These two youth groups represented our communities and our culture. DCI hosted the first youth drumline battle that featured Atlanta Drum Academy (ADA) and Memphis Youth Arts Initiative (MYAI). I was so happy to meet one of my M100 bothers Ray 'Quasi' Nelson this weekend to find out that he helped organize and MC the historic event. I had the opportunity to chat with DCI CEO Dan Acheson and he mentioned that he would like to partner with the M100 on future projects.
