Vanlife @ 2211m - High up in the Mountains
We take our Sprinter Camper Van to the top of a mountain in the Dolomites.
At an altitude of 2211m, this is the highest our Self Built Van has ever been.
But before that, we have a go on a couple of extreme alpine coasters.
The first in Fussen at the base of the castle is a terrific fun ride for all the family. But be warned, pay attention to the safety notices, unlike me.
You can find that toboggan ride and disney castle here https://goo.gl/maps/VQDvEKzYonqNkAqq9
The alpine coaster can be found by using this link https://goo.gl/maps/ntsRgS6XmRWwMfc2A
The ride starts at an altitude of 1270m and is approx 2km long
Even going at speed it takes 5mins to get back down.
The truck stop that we stayed at was in the town of Vipitino and can be found using this link https://goo.gl/maps/6FXk26nmbbsjUNkb8
"Sometimes you have to go out on a limb, because thats where the fruit is."
is one of my favourite saying and it doesnt ring more true than our last challenge. a drive up to the moutain pass at Penser Joch reaching an altitude of 2211m this is the highest we have ever been in our van.
