Choose A Random Name From A List In Excel – Using RANDBETWEEN And VLOOKUP

I'll show you how to choose a random name from a list in Excel using RANDBETWEEN and VLOOKUP. This is especially relevant if you’re a teacher and want to pick a student from your class randomly. In our example, our class consists of 20 students as shown in column C and each student is assigned a number as shown in column B. To choose a random name from the class, we first want to select a random number between 1 and 20 using RANDBETWEEN and then match this random number to the student using VLOOKUP.
