Kawasaki ZX10 1988 170mph

170mph fun. In 1998 I used a huge Panasonic Video Camcorder, bigger than a shoebox, strapped on the petrol tank of my bike and went out for a ride. You just have to love Germany with its roads, autobahns and driver attitude to speed. They know people will be/are allowed to be going very fast so a quick check in their rear view mirror, see a vehicle approaching with its indicator flashing tells them its coming fast so they "generally" pull over to let you pass. The downside to the footage is it looks like I do not get over 170mh due to the camera angle. From the riders view this was reading over 170mpy. I plugged the video player into my Commodore Amiga computer along with a Walkman for music, made some graphics on the Amiga and put this together onto VHS video tape! I have just transferred from tape to my PC and as such some of the quality has dropped off (albeit VHS wasn't that great to start with!) but hey, its done now so I am happy. I loved that bike, it was a rocket ship and had a bloodcurdling sound! Awesome!
