IPMMB-FM - mine can accommodate 40GB DDR3!

I miss spoke in the video. I meant to say DDR3 but I said 4. soz

So my front room Plex PC is an ex HP IPMM-FM motherboard 4 slot DDR3. This says it can take 32GB max.

The processor is an i5 3570 which claims to only be able to handle 32 GB.

I had 4 x 4GB DDR3.
I took a risk on 4 x 16GB DDR3 (£35 second hand).

64GB doesn't work for me.
But I played a bit. I reasoned the two blue and two black needed same memory types. But in my case the 2 x 4GB go in the first slots (nearest the processor). And the 2 x 16GB go in the next two.

Speccy shows I have 40GB. I am happy.
£35 to get a 40GB machine.

your mileage may vary.
