Experience one of the most dramatic formation flights I’ve ever flown in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. I flew the F‑22 Raptor while @YTAirstud99 piloted the YF‑23, taking off in tight formation from Joint Base Elmendorf‑Richardson in Anchorage, Alaska.

We climbed into a partly cloudy but brilliantly clear sky, carving wide formation turns over snow‑covered mountains and glaciers. At times our wings nearly touched as we switched positions; slid to the left, right, and over each other; and held razor‑tight spacing through every maneuver.

Highlights include:
- Formation takeoff from Elmendorf AFB
- Sweeping turns over Alaska’s snow‑capped peaks
- A close belly‑inspection pass under the YF‑23
- High‑altitude overflight of Anchorage and Ted Stevens International
- Rapid coordinated descent into a low‑altitude airport pass
- Mountain‑hugging formation flight over glaciers
- Intercept and shadowing of a C‑17 transport on approach
- Skillful formation landing back at Elmendorf

This was one of the most scenic and precise formation flights we’ve performed — Alaska delivered!
