Nwoya fruit farmers seek funds for factory
Fruit farmers in Nwoya district and parts of the West Nile sub-region are seeking 18 billion shillings to establish a fruit factory. Julian Adyeri, the Chairperson of the Nwoya Fruit Growers Cooperative Society, said that in 2018, the government had committed to setting up the factory, but they are still waiting. The factory is expected to package ready-to-drink and concentrate juice.
