Disgraced Democrat Eric Swalwell shamefully resigns following serious sexual assault allegations
Democrat Eric Swalwell has resigned in disgrace from Congress following the emergence of several sexual misconduct allegations.
Swalwell’s resignation on Monday follows his decision to suspend his campaign for Governor of California on Sunday.
At least four women have levelled allegations of sexual misconduct towards Swalwell, including a former staffer who accused him of raping her.
According to CNN and The San Francisco Chronicle, the former aide alleged that Swalwell raped her while she was intoxicated and could not consent.
