Honda VFR 750 (RC36) Valve Clearance Check - Part 1 - Rear Cylinders
***Checking the valve clearances on a motorcycle engine is a job best left to a qualified mechanic. If you decide to do this job yourself then you should follow an approved Honda service manual rather than relying on this video***
In this video I show in detail how I checked the valve clearances on the rear cylinders of my 1996 VFR 750 (RC36). I demonstrate how to check the valve clearances on the two front cylinders in the follow up video, part 2.
The engine must be cold when completing the valve clearance check so only complete at least 12 hours after the engine was running. You will need a feeler gauge to complete the check.
Intake Valve Clearance tolerance: 0.16 mm +/- 0.03 mm
Exhaust Valve Clearance tolerance: 0.25 mm +/- 0.03 mm
