One traveller had this to say "During the 1970's when deforestation started I decided to visit the rain forest. Back then there was so much more to see and the wildlife was plentiful. I had always wanted to go here and being a amateur wildlife photographer made we want to do this even more. I have extensive knowledge in the environment and animals. I studied for many years at university and decided that after I graduated I would go to the amazon. I went with a friend who I had spoken to previously and they too were excited to go. It's sad to see the state of the amazon now compared to when I went.
