🛠️ Steps to Remove and Fix the SIO IC:
🔧 Tools Required:
Hot air rework station

Soldering iron

Flux

SIO IC replacement (if needed)

Microscope (optional but helpful)

📌 Removal Procedure:
Power off the board completely.

Apply flux around the SIO IC.

Use a hot air gun (~350–400°C, depending on PCB and chip type).

Gently lift the chip using tweezers once the solder melts.

Clean pads using solder wick and isopropyl alcohol.

📌 Fix / Replacement:
If the IC is just dry soldered, resolder the same chip.

If it's damaged, replace with the same model (e.g., ITE IT8586E, ENE KB9022, etc.).

Align the new IC correctly (pin 1), apply flux, and use the hot air station to reflow it.

✅ After Installation:
Check all pins under a microscope.

Test basic power functions.

Power on and check keyboard, charging, and other I/O operations.
