The stingy old man fed his horses, sheep, and pigs nothing but snow, secondhand smoke, and dandruff all winter long. When spring came, he grew tired of them not putting on weight and drove them out of his home. Upon hearing this, the Big Bad Wolf naively believed the three animals’ claims that they would “fatten them up before eating them” and let them go. After starving all summer, when the animals returned, the pig, the sheep, and the horse, in turn, ambushed, rammed, and incited the villagers to beat the Big Bad Wolf, leaving him covered in wounds as he fled back to the forest in disarray. Greedy and foolish as he was, he never understood the root cause of his failure.
