Paanchpokhari, Ramechhap in Janai Purnima - Travel Nepal
Yes, that's correct, this is the Paanchpokhari of Ramechhap and not that of Sindhupalchowk. This is our trek on the occasion of Janai Purnima on the month of July, 2017.
Paanch Pokhari/ Panchpokhari / Paachpokhari meaning five ponds in Nepali might just be the most common name of high altitude lakes/ponds in Nepal as there are four of them we know so far. The most famous one of them is the one in Sindhupalchowk. We take you to the lesser known but equally beautiful Paanch Pokhari of the East, in Ramechhap. With equally beautiful Jatapokhari just below, this holy kunda (pond) offers a lot of scenic views and a wonderful trekking experience.
It also falls under the "Numbur Himal Cheese Circuit" Trek, an alternate trek route you can take to enjoy the Everest region with a different perspective.
The monsoon trek was surely tough but worth it. And its been our first priority, to explore and show the lesser know but equally beautiful and somehow unknown locations inside Nepal.
We are always looking for places like these, that aren't famous or explored enough, but are lacking exposure and promotion. If you know of any such places or your village/hometown has such locations, do let us know. We'll be more than happy to visit and collaborate with you to promote such destinations.

=====================
Itinerary
Day 1 - Kathmandu to Garjang (whole day, can hike to Khahare if reached early as Khahare is only 2 hrs walk away from here)
Day 2 - Garjang/Khahare to Panipakha (lunch) to Manedada (2000m ascent, stay options available in between Panipakha and Manedada)
Day 3 - Mane Dada to Jatapokhari, Jatapokhari to Paanchpokhari (2 hrs hike)
Day 4 - Return to Manedada/Panipokhari or Garjang (depends upon your pace, the descent will be tough but easier than going uphill)
Day 5 - Back to Ktm/Your Hometown
After reaching Paanchpokhari, you have option to carry on the "Numbur Cheese Circuit Trail" as well. After Khahare, there arent' any permanent hotels/tea houses. Please confirm with locals about availability of Chauri Goths (sheds or any other options for accommodation on the way). So, having your own tent and supplies is essential for the trip.
The cost can come around 10 thousand Nepalese rupees. The cost might be a little higher if you are a foreign traveler as it includes different permits and in some cases, a professional guide might be a compulsory provision.
