How To Replace A Basement Window / DIY Home Improvement / Step by Step Window Installation

In other words, since nobody’s looking at your basement, you can make your mistakes there so you won’t make them when you are doing these home improvement projects in more noticeable places.

Window (measure with at least 1/4 inch spacing (3/8 is optimal) on the sides and top of windows.
Treated 2x4 or 2x6 (this depends on the pre-existing frame)

Window well cover: Check local suppliers for for your desired size. Lowes and Home Depot sell them as well.
