1975 Dodge Royal Monaco Coupe Commercial - Princess Grace & Prince Rainier

The Following is an excerpt from the Miami - "Times Herald" by David Klement from an article titled "Full Speed Ahead for Dodge Ads", Dated August 21st, 1973, "With Princess Grace of Monaco still listed as a doubtful starter, Chrysler Corp. is readying a commercial cast ranging from an all-girl football team to golfer Lee Trevino to introduce it's 1974 models this fall.
While Chrysler's Dodge Division will say only that the introductory ads for Monaco, it's "flagship of the line,", will dramatize its sleek new exterior contours and plush interiors, rumors persist in Detroit ad circles that Princess Grace will have a role in the '74 dodge campaign.
The Division earlier admitted that it had obtained the rights to a film on the tiny Mediterranean principality, and that excerpts would be used in the Dodge Monaco campaign.
It's understood that Princess Grace might be willing to talk about her country, Monaco, but is balking at the commercial aspect of the car, Monaco.
Beyond, Her Grace, Dodge is putting strong emphasis on personalities in it's introductory ads, with golfer Trevino, sports broadcaster Joe Garagiola and Oakland Raider football star George Blanda as spokesmen for Charger, Dart and Dodge trucks, respectively." It's important to note, In 1974 Dodge acquired the rights to the film " Monaco Now" produced by Francois Reichenbach and incorporated it into their advertising for the Dodge Monaco, this was carried over into 1975 as well.
