15. '39 (Queen In Earls Court: 6/6/1977) [Filmed Concert]

Queen ended the Day At The Races Tour with two shows in London, they dropped £50,000 on a new lighting rig which was in the shape of a giant crown and you could barely see the stage!

Everyone has got the hometown nerves but everyone plays great and Freddie's voice is in good shape but struggles to hit those hight notes.

Since Queen used the two large video screens on each side of the hall (like most gigs at The Magic Tour above the stage) the gig was recorded but was most likely no intended to be released but clips of the show have made their way into various documentaries over the years.

After the shows the band must have listened to the recordings and realised how bad John's harmonies were as his mic would never be turned up again, except for Buenos Aires '81 & Milan '84!
