Arriving at Loews Portofino Bay Resort | Halloween Horror Nights | Universal Studios October 2019

We say a fond farewell to Walt Disney World and check into Loews Portofino Bay Resort at Universal Studios Orlando. We show you our bay view room, have lunch on Citywalk and fit in a few rides before tackling our very first Halloween Horror Nights event!

It’s time to leave Kidani Village at Walt Disney World’s Animal Kingdom Lodge and check in to Loews Portofino Bay Resort at Universal Studios Orlando. We arrive a little early and our room isn’t quite ready so we take the resort ferry to Citywalk and enjoy lunch at the NBC Sports Grill and Brew bar.

Whilst at lunch, we get the text notification that our room is now ready. After a quick room tour, we purchase some lanyards from the Universal Studios shop at the resort and head back to the park. We have some time to kill before Stay and Scream for Halloween Horror Nights so we ride Rip Ride Rockit, Jimmy Fallon’s Race Through New York and The Mummy.

We meet up with "Just the Hemms" for HHN. We enjoy a couple of the scare zones and get to experience the following horror houses:- Stranger Things, Killer Klowns from Outer Space, Universal Monsters, Graveyard Games, Nightingales Blood Pit, Depths of Fear and Ghostbusters.

We also manage to catch an amazing performance of Academy of Villains – Altered States.

We end the evening with a fun sing-a-long on the ferry boat back to the resort.
