QXPMarkz SE for Windows Quick Start Guide and Demonstration

QXPMarkz SE is the Windows version of Markzware’s popular QuarkXPress to InDesign conversion application. It relates the long successful Q2ID and is even easier to use and offers not only Quark to InDesign but also QuarkXPress to Affinity Publisher and Quark to IDML, all without any native Adobe or Quark applications needed!

In this quick start video, we will show you how to install QXPMarkz SE, where it gets placed, how to create a short cut and lastly, how to use QXPMarkz. QXPMarkz is extremely easy to use as it is now a stand-alone application. For more info on QXPMarkz for Windows, see:

QXPMarkz Installation -
To install, they now require .NET 6 to run.
If you do need to install .NET 6, please
make sure you download the Desktop x86 version.

Installer Download:

QXPMarkz SE will be installed at C:\Program Files (x86)\Markzware\QXPMarkz SE
QXPMarkz Quick Start Guide:

Here’s how to get up and running quickly using QXPMarkz SE
Download the QXPMarkz SE Installer
Double-click on the Installer and follow through the instructions
Activate QXPMarkz SE using the License ID and Activation code you received when you purchased the product
Once activated you will see the main screen for QXPMarkz SE
On this screen you can drag a Quark file onto the Drag-n-Drop zone at the bottom of the Window
Your file will be converted to IDML and the IDML file will be placed in the folder specified in the Create IDML In section.
It’s that simple. You now have an IDML file you can open in apps that support IDML such as any version of InDesign (CS4 or later) or Affinity Publisher 1.8 or later. (The app you select to open the IDML must be loaded on your system).
