During this shift I drove the intercity Den Helder from Utrecht to Alkmaar. No further because I have no "road familiarity" there. I would have a break of more than two hours in Alkmaar. At Heiloo I came up with the brilliant idea that at that time I might as well drive to Den Helder to film that route for you, and back again. This is the return trip. The original engineer sits next to me as a pilot. A pilot is a driver with road familiarity who guides a driver without road familiarity. Nice to ride a new route. Especially for you, a first at Cabview Holland! Enjoy watching!

Tijdens deze dienst reed ik de intercity Den Helder van Utrecht naar Alkmaar. Niet verder want ik heb daar geen wegbekendheid. Ik zou in Alkmaar meer dan twee uur pauze hebben. Bij Heiloo kwam ik op het briljante idee dat ik in die tijd net zo goed mee zou kunnen rijden tot Den Helder om dat traject voor jullie ook eens te filmen. En dit is de terugweg. De oorspronkelijke machinist zit naast me als pilot. Een pilot is een machinist met wegbekendheid, die een machinist zonder wegbekendheid begeleid. Leuk om eens een nieuw traject te berijden.
