फिल्म ‘सिंह इज किंग’ साल 2008 में रिलीज हुई एक बॉलीवुड कॉमडी एक्शन फिल्म है और अनीस बाजमी ने डायरेक्ट किया है। फिल्म में लीड रोल में अक्षय कुमार,कैटरीना कैफ, ओम पुरी, नेहा धूपिया, किरण खेर, जावेद जाफरी, सोनू सूद आदि कलाकार मौजूद है। यह फिल्म अक्षय कुमार के मजाकिया लहजे पर टिकी है और उसी कारण दर्शकों को हंसने के लिए भरपूर मौका है। इसमें अक्षय और कैटरीना की हिट जोड़ी के अलावा इसके गैनों को भी खूब सराहा गया है। आज भी इसके सॉग लोगों के जूबान पर है।

फिल्म की शुरुआत में लकी (सोनू सूद) के बारे में बताया गया है कि कैसे पंजाब से ऑस्टेलिया में बसाकर वह काले धंधे करना लगता है। फिर कहानी वापस पंजाब के गांव में रहने वाले हैप्पी सिंह (अक्षय कुमार) तरफ रुख करता है। जहां वह एक मुर्गी को पकड़ने के लिए उसके पीछे भागता है और इस काम को अंजाम देने में वह पूरे गांव को तहस-नहस कर देता है। हैप्पी से परेशान गांव वाले यह फैसला करते हैं कि हैप्पी को गांव से कही दूर भेज देना चाहिए। इसलिए वे हैप्पी को इमोशनली ब्लेकमेल कर लंगोटिया यार रंगीला (ओमपुरी) के साथ ऑस्टेलिया से लकी को वापस लाने के काम सौपते हैं। जहां पहुंचते ही हैप्पी के साथ फिर कोई घटना घटती है और सोनिया (कैटरीना कैफ) से मुलाकात होती है। आगे कैसे हैप्पी को सोनिया से प्यार होता है और क्या वह गांव वालो के सौपे काम को पूरा कर पाता है देखिये फिल्म में –
