Fiery lava flows engulfed houses in Grindavik, Iceland, as a volcano erupted for the second time in less than a month. Drone footage captured the destructive scenes on Sunday, with molten lava reaching the outskirts of the fishing village, setting three houses ablaze. Although the town had been evacuated earlier, no immediate danger to people was reported. Geologists warned of ongoing risk as magma corridors were suspected to be flowing beneath the evacuated Grindavik. This marked the second eruption in Reykjanes peninsula in four weeks and the fifth since 2021.
