Mountain Topper Radio Review (MTR3B)

A review of the LNR Precision version of the MTR, Mountain Topper Radio a three band, CW only, QRP trail friendly transceiver.

The transceiver is available from LNR (see their website at http://www.lnrprecision.com) and, in the UK/EU, from Kanga UK (https://www.kanga-products.co.uk/lnr-precision)

A couple of corrections:
- My preferred frequency on 40m is 7032.5kHz but you'll note the radio displays 032-6 instead of 032-5...this is because my unit is just 100Hz off frequency. I may not have stated the displayed frequency correctly.
- I mentioned that the cost when imported to the UK was about £250 due to the 'Duty'. To be accurate, you don't pay Duty to import Amateur Radio kit but you do pay VAT and handling. Depending on the exchange rate and the handling charges this could be as little as £200 :o)
- [From Ryan @ LNR] "All is required to use straight key is to hold the dah side of a paddle and power up unit the the MTR will recognise the straight key".
